On 24th February the Great Hall at QUB was packed with attendees from policing, criminal justice agencies, academia and other interested parties to hear, former journalist and now drama writer, Declan Lawn. His talk and Q&A session received fulsome praise and positive feedback.
Chairman Stephen White said, “I am indebted to Declan and all at ‘Queen’s’ who helped make the evening such a wonderful success. I have known and respected Declan for over twenty years and greatly appreciate him finding the time to deliver such an interesting talk. We in the Foundation do all we can to humanise and contextualise policing in difficult situations. He and his colleagues from
‘Blue Lights’ do a wonderful service for policing today – while providing a dramatic, thought-provoking and really entertaining TV series”.
