On 16th March, to mark 50 years since the callous murder of P/T Woman Reserve Constable Mildred Harrison, a small memorial event was organised in Bangor PSNI Station. Family members attended along with members of the NI Retired Police Officers Association and the chairman of the RUC GC Foundation.
Stephen White read the RUC GC Prayer and paid tribute to Mildred and her family for the sacrifices paid for her service to the community.
He paid tribute to the local commander and his colleagues for making sure that this significant event did not pass without a fitting tribute.
